I have organized and guided over 25 yoga & meditation retreats in five different countries since I started hosting my own yoga holidays in 2012. Many yogis come to my retreats again and again, which I feel humbled by, but also take as a compliment.
I love the opportunity to do deeper work than what is done in drop-in classes. Therefore full or partial digital detox is always encouraged. Meditation is likely to be as prominent as the yoga asana practice. We might explore other movement modalities and/or creative expressions.
It is well known, especially by those scientists who study happiness, that nature has immense healing powers. Therefore you can rest assure that the retreat will take place in a naturally beautiful spot. Also, I choose to work with locations that care about sustainability and that aren’t crazy luxurious and therefore insanely expensive. Food will always be plant-based. My aim is also to always offer discounts to those who travel to retreats without flying.
Some participants come with a friend, many come alone. In my experience, however or with whomever one arrives, the group quickly starts to feel like one warm, vibrating team. Rest assure you will make friends, and you’ll have also have some uncomplicated alone time.
It is my wish that you’ll be leaving one of my retreats, having made new friends, new discoveries, and that you’ll be bringing a new tool, practice or habit with you back home.
